Return to Renton (Breakfast)

Return to Renton Breakfast with no car show and no drive. 

The Return to Renton car show on July 6 was cancelled but we decided to continue our tradition of a great Pre show breakfast hosted by Lachlan. Fine turnout of 11 with 4 roadsters a Z and Todd's GT6. A drive to Chinook Pass to test Lachlan's new 2000 was on the schedule but the roadster would not start. 5 of us spent a few hours and finally Steve C found that the plug connector for the power from the starter to the fuse box was loose.! Damn. We knew it was something like that but it took Steve to find it. Big thanks to Steve C. We cancelled the drive as most of us are too old to do any more. . It was one of those "upsidedown" events as demonstrated in the pictures. 

It was our recently retired body shop owner, Ken H. who still has enough flexibility to get under the dash. Big thanks to Ken for the contortions. Steve C could still get under his 1500 dash to look for his spare key. 

Big thanks to Lachlan for hosting the Breakfast. This will be a new annual NWDE club event even without the car show.
