Some of the NWDE, DROPS, and friends attended the Edmonds Car Show yesterday.
We had 12 cars, a pretty good showing: Six Roadsters, One 510, One NL 320 truck, One 260Z, Two 280 Z's, One Triumph. And, we had new member park his Roadster outside the show and hang out with us.
I created laminated versions of the marketing brochures for the 63/64 1500, 65 1500, and 68, 69, and 70 roadsters, and gave to the roadster owners so we could show people what the marketing looked like when the cars were for sale new.
Once parked, Gregg L. walked to his house and made us all "Gregg McMuffins" egg sandwiches with prosciutto, I believe. Very classy, Gregg.
The weather was really good, even getting a bit hot for a little while. 400 plus cars at the show, per the organizers during the awards ceremony.
The types of cars was very eclectic, with a few motorcycles, also. Even award categories for motorcycles. This show has a cool, neighborhoody feel to it.
Our own DEF won best Asian import for his 1964 NL 320 pickup truck. Nice work, Dave.
In fact, I believe our club has won awards at that show four years straight (I think the below is correct):
2026- DEF, NL 320
2025 - me, Roadster
2024 - Damon, 510
2023? - Gregg, Roadster
We represent pretty good at that show. I think we're going to have even more cars next year.
Also, after the show, Gregg and Darcie L., once again hosted us for a homemade pizza dinner, with salad, at their house, walking distance from the show. 10 pizzas of the designer/ exotic variety. Thanks, Gregg and Darcie. Gregg is a mad man with his pace of cooking them. It was a great time and we really appreciated it.
