will a 1600 truck carb work with a 1300 truck?????

I am looking for a carb to fit my 69 Datsun 1300cc truck. It is a needle in a hay stack. Will a carb from a 1600 truck fit and work well with my truck? One person said that it worked for him with no trouble. I know i will need to do an L sries swap one day but for now just want to get the thing back on the road. Someone please give me some information or past experiences with their 1300cc carb solutions!!! Tried ebay, Nappa will probably work, webber says nothing will work. Weber would be my first choice.
