How to prime the oil pump on an A14 engine?

I have a car fiited with a B210 engine that has sat for a year or more. With the spark plugs removed the engine spins easily on the starter motor but there is no oil pressure. I removed the gauge pressure line from the filter/pump assembly and spun the motor again. Still no oil coming from the open port. Any suggestions on a method of priming the pump? (There is oil in the sump by the way).
