hey al, we both have the same problem, the voltage regulator. it's defective which keeps the truck running but if u pull the positive off the coil, it should shut off. my 74 uses the mechanical type with the 6wire round plug so if u got an extra 1, send it over. oh by the way, i finally finished converting to disc brakes. the last piece installed, the load sensing valve, required additional lines and connectors which is time consuming but well worth it......j
